REINDEER
Farm raised reindeer is very new to the market and offers a delicious alternative to Caribou which is very hard to find and seasonal. Of course if you want Caribou, give us a call and we will see if we can find you some.

Venison America has a standing order with our supplier to provide Reindeer throughout the year. Reindeer is farm raised in Alaska where it can grow in a natural habitat and feed on the natural food sources available in the region. Natural grasses and grains are harvested and stored to provide a continual supply of nutrition even during the winter months. This eliminates the stresses that afflict animals in the wild and provides a more tender and milder tasting meat. It also provides for better consistency from animal to animal.

Reindeer is delicious and comparable in flavor and texture to Red Deer Venison. We like it better because of its distinctive flavor, which is only mildly reminiscent of wild game. Grilling to a medium-rare and serving with a full bodied burgundy wine provides a delicious combination of flavors that will be remembered for a long time to come.
