| Bison Burgers from Venison America are 100% Bison. This means they are very very lean. This also means that they should not be cooked beyond medium unless you intend to use them for building blocks. MOST IMPORTANTLY you can add a slice of cheese without feeling guilty. We prefer our burgers cooked to a medium-rare: Reddish pink center and soft to the touch when pressed on with your favorite burger flipper. Bison Burgers: Bison Patties; Custom ground, 1/2 pound each (We like big burgers! If too big for you cut in half and reshape to whatever size you prefer or share with a friend.) Seasoning: Rub each patty with a coating of Olive oil Sprinkle with Garlic granules to taste. Add fresh ground pepper to taste. DO NOT ADD SALT! . Yet. Cooking: Grill over medium-high heat turning twice during the cooking process. Optional Accessories (highly recommended): We love cheese on these burgers. (We are from Wisconsin you know.) Our favorites are: Wild Rice Gouda, Chipolti Pepper Gouda and Swiss. (No processed cheese please.) We also love butter in Wisconsin so we have been know to place a nice sized pat of butter on these burgers if they were not already covered with cheese. We also prefer toasted (grilled) buns to the plain variety. This is another excuse to use butter on each side and then toasting on the grill until nicely browned. Instead of using the commercial type of hamburger bun we prefer a soft Kaiser roll instead. (It takes a big bun for a 1/2 pound burger) Serve with a nice fresh fruit or lettuce salad and enjoy a true taste delight and a satisfying meal.
